The Real Madrid Foundation Campus Experience will be held for the first time in Oviedo, from June 27 to July 1, for which one hundred of the two hundred places called for young people between 7 and 17 years old have already registered.
The proposal, under the title “The idol is you”, was presented this Tuesday in the Asturian capital, where the organizers have revealed that nearly 50 percent of the places available are already covered.
The general director of the Campus Experience of the Real Madrid Foundation, Joaquín Sagués, has mentioned the “training in values” provided by the campus, among which he has mentioned effort, teamwork, self-improvement, equality, respect and The initiative. “We are not here to do ‘scouting’ -exploration- or to sign boys and girls”, Sagués has indicated in reference to the objectives of the campus, with which the Real Madrid Foundation seeks to contribute a “grain of sand” to the sports community of Asturias.
According to the person in charge of Campus Experience, organizing a quality campus is “expensive”, and he stressed that the sessions will be given by coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation and local monitors.
The campus will take place at the Cristo facilities, where the participants will receive theoretical training on systems, sports nutrition and rules of the game.
The programming, from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., includes 15 hours of training for groups divided by age, who will receive equipment, a diploma and accreditation.
Under the slogan “A campus to grow, a campus to dream”, the proposal arrives in Oviedo open to all those who want to enjoy an “unforgettable” leisure-sports experience for a week, said the representative of Global Football Experience, promoter of the event, Pablo Castro.
