Some benefits that affect physical and psychological well-being.

Physical and psychological well-being are vital to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Exercise is an excellent way to improve the health of our body and mind, increasing energy levels, improving the quality of sleep, preventing diseases by improving the functioning of our organism and even giving an opportunity to enrich oneself socially.

Sport has multiple positive effects on health, well-being and quality of life, so the WHO recommends 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, or a combination of both.

At Campus Experience Real Madrid Foundation we want to transfer some benefits generated by the exercise:

  • Strengthens the immune system: Doing at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Jogging, for example, is a very good option to prevent or reduce diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
  • Reduce stress and depression: Exercise reduces the levels of stress hormones in your body. At the same time, it stimulates the production of endorphins. These are natural mood lifters due to the production of endorphins, so they can keep stress and depression at bay.
  • Promotes increased brain power and rest: Sports and other forms of physical activity improve the quality of sleep and in turn help to maintain critical thinking, learning and use of good judgment over the years.
  • Promotes sociability and social integration: sport gives people the opportunity to interact and integrate into different groups, so it doesn’t just bring you closer to people you don’t know, but also helps to reduce social gaps caused by ethnic or economic factors.

There is a lot of scientific evidence on the positive effects of sport and physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

At Campus Experience Real Madrid Foundation we are aware of the importance of physical exercise. It is important to bear in mind that in order to be more active, there must be a balance between physical activity, rest, nutrition and we must also perform physical activities according to our needs and level of preparation.
